Description

You will manage, scale, and automate cloud-based database infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Tune database and application query performance for optimal throughput.
• Automate routine backups, on-demand restores, and infrastructure provisioning via CLI.
• Right-size database instances to ensure efficient scaling and performance.
• Manage database environments and security across multi-cloud PaaS offerings.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in database and systems administration.
• Expertise in Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
