Description

You will design, build, and maintain IBM Cognos analytics solutions, including pixel-perfect reports, dashboards, and complex data models. You own the full lifecycle from requirements gathering and Framework Manager modeling to performance tuning, security implementation, and production support.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and parameterized visualizations with drill-through capabilities.
• Design and manage Framework Manager models, including namespaces, query subjects, hierarchies, determinants, and dimensional/relational schemas.
• Optimize report and model performance through advanced SQL tuning, query subject optimization, and efficient data model design.
• Implement row-level and object-level security, manage report scheduling, bursting, and distribution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, perform data validation, and support UAT.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and Cognos BI.
• Deep expertise in Framework Manager, including model versioning, deployments, and complex relationship mapping.
• Advanced SQL skills with strong understanding of joins, subqueries, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata databases.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with report performance tuning, defect fixes, and production support.

Preferred Skills

• Cognos Administration experience, including security management, scheduling, and deployments.
• Exposure to ETL tools, data integration platforms, or BI tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Background in Healthcare, Insurance, or Finance domains with familiarity in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
