Description

You will lead controls projects from initial concept through on-site installation and commissioning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full controls project lifecycle, including component selection, network design, panel layout, and PLC/HMI programming.
• Design and develop electrical diagrams and layouts for power and control distribution.
• Create functional system test plans for field commissioning and author technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC control systems and hardware to resolve field issues during installation and after-sales support.
• Manage project teams and mentor engineers by reviewing electrical diagrams and transferring technical knowledge.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering.
• Expertise in PLC and HMI programming, debugging, and commissioning.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for plan and hardware design.
• Deep understanding of AC/DC control systems.
• Hands-on experience with VFDs, Servos, sensors, and Vision Systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical equipment and building codes, including UL508a, NEC, and NFPA.
• Experience with Material Handling systems, specifically within the Baggage Handling industry.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain airport security clearance.
