Description

Lead cybersecurity functions for three agencies in collaboration with the Enterprise Information Security Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of security architecture, risk management, asset security, and identity and access management.
• Manage security operations, including communication, network security, and software development security.
• Maintain operational familiarity with security infrastructure including IPS/IDS, log management, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Perform threat hunting and monitor network security to mitigate malware and emerging threats.

Required Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency with scripting languages including PowerShell and Python.
• Hands-on experience with network security monitoring tools such as FireEye NX, AX, PX Endpoint, and Splunk – ES.
• Experience managing firewalls including AlgoSec, Checkpoint, and CISCO ASA.
• Knowledge of web vulnerability scanning using Tenable.IO or Rapid7 AppSpider.
• Experience with penetration testing tools including Metasploit, Kali Linux, Netsparker, and Wireshark.
• Understanding of encryption protocols using Globalscape Secure FTP and PGP.
• Knowledge of malware techniques, behavior, and cloud-relevant security threats.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with threat hunting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with network intrusion detection tools like Snort, Security Onion, or SolarWinds Security Event Manager.
• Familiarity with packet sniffers such as Tcpdump and Windump, or SAST/DAST tools like Veracode and AppScan.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GCFA, or CISM.
