Description

You will design and maintain end-to-end enterprise monitoring dashboards for OpenStack and Webscale environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Grafana dashboards integrating Prometheus, node-exporter, and custom exporters.
• Develop PromQL-based alerts and recording rules to optimize dashboard performance.
• Create consolidated operations summary dashboards joining system, storage, and application metadata.
• Automate daily cluster status and issue reports using VictoriaMetrics.
• Collaborate with operations teams to translate requirements into custom monitoring views.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in monitoring and dashboard engineering.
• Advanced proficiency with Grafana and PromQL (Prometheus).
• Hands-on experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes environments.
• Expertise in Linux systems performance and data collectors (node-exporter, libvirt-exporter, harvest).
• Experience with GitOps workflows.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of VictoriaMetrics for report generation.
• Experience integrating metrics from CoreDNS, Trident, and OSP/OCP APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with filebeat-exporter, llpd-exporter, ethtool-exporter, and redfish-exporter.
