Description

You will perform root cause analysis for Positive Train Control (PTC) issues and provide technical solutions across Signal, Network, HDC, Mechanical, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis for PTC issues and drive them to closure.
• Provide systems engineering support for critical production problems and design recommendations for Back Office Server (BOS) and Dispatching systems.
• Conduct safety hazard analysis on proposed designs and report on safety-critical issues or derailments.
• Review business requirement documents, functional specifications, and prepare corresponding test plans.
• Execute unit and end-to-end testing for system customizations and document all support tasks in compliance with CMM standards.
• Maintain data in the IDM system by scheduling jobs and processes.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience with Positive Train Control (PTC) and Back Office Server (BOS).
• Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS.
• Experience using Access Management tools, Macros, and SQR.
• Ability to modify Application Engine programs and Component Interfaces.
• Experience writing software technical specifications and code throughout the project life cycle.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to unanticipated locations within the U.S.
