Description

Design and architect end-to-end data solutions on GCP, leading cloud-native modernization and mentoring technical teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data lake, warehouse, and lakehouse solutions on GCP using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Design logical and physical data models, integration patterns, and reference architectures.
• Lead migration of legacy platforms to GCP and optimize BigQuery performance via partitioning, clustering, and storage tuning.
• Define data governance standards, implement IAM policies, VPC Service Controls, and ensure compliance with GDPR and HIPAA.
• Provide expert guidance to data engineering teams on standards, CI/CD adoption, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture.
• Deep expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Looker.
• Experience designing end-to-end data architectures on AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Beam (Dataflow) and Spark (Dataproc).
• Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and observability frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience acting as a mentor to offshore technical teams.
• Ability to collaborate closely with enterprise architects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks.
• Implementation of Dataplex and Data Catalog for data quality and lineage.
