Description

You will build and maintain AWS data lake solutions and manage end-to-end data pipelines.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS data lake solutions using Amazon S3 with optimized data formats (Parquet, ORC, Avro, JSON, CSV).
• Develop and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and EMR (Spark, Hive, Presto).
• Enable analytics and ad-hoc querying through Amazon Athena.
• Implement data governance, cataloging, and lineage using AWS Lake Formation and Glue Data Catalog.
• Automate deployments and pipeline operations using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience building data pipelines on AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with distributed data processing using Spark.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Lake Formation).
• Familiarity with data formats like Parquet, ORC, Avro, and JSON.
• Understanding of data governance and access controls.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hive and Presto.
