Description

Design and implement business intelligence solutions and data warehousing architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design schemas for performant data marts and enterprise data warehouses.
• Develop complex ETL SQL scripts to aggregate data from various databases for analytics.
• Manage the reporting environment, including data sources, connections, security, and metadata.
• Troubleshoot reporting and database issues in collaboration with DBAs and Systems Engineers.
• Optimize development processes, technical standards, and data governance workflows.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in ETL design and Data Warehouse implementation.
• Expertise in Pentaho BI Suite, including Pentaho Data Integration Designer and Kettle Spoon.
• Extensive experience with ETL transformations using Row Normalizer, Database Lookup, Database Join, Calculator, and Add Sequence.
• Strong proficiency in writing and debugging PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Deep experience with MSSQL or PostgreSQL, including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating Kettle with Hadoop and loading unstructured data into HDFS.
• Hands-on experience with shell scripting for ETL automation.
• Proven ability working within Agile and CI/CD deployment frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Columnar databases, specifically HP Vertica.
