Description

Lead a data engineering team while maintaining hands-on technical ownership of GCP-based pipelines and Snowflake data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, focusing on skill development and delivery excellence.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap for data acquisition, processing, storage, and utilization.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes on Google Cloud Platform.
• Guide the implementation of orchestration frameworks like Airflow and data warehousing using Snowflake.
• Participate in technical reviews and contribute hands-on with coding, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including data platforms, ingestion, and pipeline development.
• 3+ years of leadership experience building and managing engineering teams.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Composer, GCS, Dataflow, or Datastream.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and engineering tasks.
• Deep experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
• Practical experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with AWS services and ETL process optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience establishing SLAs and best practices for production datasets and operational processes.
