Description

Design and maintain data models for Azure Data Lake, ensuring integrity, consistency, and performance. Translate business requirements into effective data structures while collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data models within Azure Data Lake and Medallion Architecture.
• Implement data modeling best practices to improve data accessibility and drive decision-making.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries and flow diagrams.
• Perform data profiling to identify quality issues and recommend solutions.
• Integrate semantic models and ensure seamless pipeline integration with engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Modeler with Azure Data Lake expertise.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure data services.
• Knowledge of Star Schema, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of data governance and quality frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks, Power BI, and DAX.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
• Azure Data Engineering certification.
