Description

You will implement and operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud, focusing on ingesting, transforming, and distributing data for big data applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI and agentic frameworks to automate data management, governance, and consumption capabilities including pipelines, quality, metadata, and compliance.
• Collaborate with principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers to roadmap, plan, and deliver key data capabilities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Support migration from on-premises systems to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless transition and integration.
• Develop and support high-throughput data flows using Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, and other modern processing tools.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with hands-on work in cloud data solutions.
• Proficiency with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Data Proc, and Cloud Composer.
• Demonstrable skills using AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph/ADK, agentic frameworks, RAG, GraphRAG, and MCP for building agent-based data capabilities.
• Deep understanding of cloud-based data lakes, warehouses, and automated data pipelines.
• Experience developing data flows and automations in large-scale data environments.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant cloud certifications such as GCP Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, or AWS Specialty Data Analytics.
