Description

You will build, deploy, and maintain data science solutions and applications that address core business problems using large-scale datasets.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, manipulate, and process large datasets using statistical software and big data ecosystems.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain data applications using DataProc, BigQuery, and Apache Spark.
• Apply feature selection algorithms to models predicting outcomes such as sales, attrition, and healthcare use.
• Test, validate, and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of target outcomes.
• Create visualizations to convey data analysis results and support decision-making.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data analysis or data science.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL.
• Experience with big data ecosystems including Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, YARN/MR2, Oozie, and Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing and storage like BigQuery and GCS.
• Competency in data processing tools such as Dataflow and Composer.
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau and Matplotlib.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to travel nationally for system setup and feasibility studies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience setting up systems and performing feasibility studies on-site.
