Using independent judgment, administer, test, and install moderately complex computer databases; design and create logical and physical database structures; setup, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle tools and utilities; write and code logical and physical database descriptions, and specify identifiers of database to management system; write scripts to manage user roles and privileges, schedule backups, and manage disk space; install reporting tools and web services; coordinate data migration/data loading from older versions to new versions of databases; perform administration, problem analysis and resolution and active cloning of databases from one server to another; test and troubleshoot new and existing programs and databases, correct errors, and coordinate modifications; analyze and implement advance compression options and backup and recovery solutions; upgrade and clone the database, and perform tuning and monitoring; plan and implement security measures and strategies using backup concepts and options; train users on new systems; install, troubleshoot and maintain web services like Tomcat and Apache; install, troubleshoot and maintain reporting tool; and utilize the following tools: UNIX, Windows, Sun Solaris, Oracle, SQL Server, Apache Server, IIS, Tomcat, RAC, OEM, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, SQL*Loader, Micro strategy, Data Pump, Data Guard, .NET, RMAN, and related tools.
Minimum Qualification:
Education: Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign education)
