Description

You will lead database administration for Oracle 19c environments and manage migrations to AWS. You own the performance, security, and availability of critical government applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead DBA activities and support Oracle 19c database infrastructure.
• Coordinate and execute migration of on-premises databases to AWS EC2 or RDS.
• Optimize database performance using indexes, dynamic tables, and query tuning.
• Maintain, upgrade, and apply security patches to safeguard database integrity.
• Modify database structures to support evolving requirements for government applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Oracle database administration experience.
• 1-5 years of experience with large-scale application databases.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services, specifically database migration strategies.
• Strong UNIX command line skills (mv, cp, rm, grep, vi).
• Ability to write ad-hoc SQL queries and scripting.
• Current IAT II or higher 8570 certification (e.g., Security+).
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
