Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments using Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Manage Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL instances within production environments.
• Apply SQL tuning techniques to optimize query performance and resolve complex issues.
• Automate database tasks and workflows using Python or Bash scripting.
• Implement database security concepts and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or Amazon Aurora in production.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and performance tuning capabilities.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, and IAM.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using CloudFormation.
• Scripting experience with Python and Bash.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of database security protocols.
