Description

You will manage and optimize production database environments focusing on Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL instances in a production environment.
• Perform SQL tuning to optimize query performance and database efficiency.
• Automate routine tasks and database operations using Python or Bash scripting.
• Implement database security best practices and manage access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and ensure system stability.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of database engineering experience.
• Deep expertise with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with SQL tuning techniques.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, Route 53, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation.
• Working knowledge of database security concepts and implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
