Description

You will manage, optimize, and maintain complex database environments including transactional systems, operational data stores, and enterprise data warehouses.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain multiple database environments and enterprise data warehouses.
• Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Develop database views and maintain technical documentation for all EDW and reporting processes.
• Implement ETL processes and database development following security guidelines and industry best practices.
• Provide technical estimates to support project planning efforts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database development.
• Advanced T-SQL query writing and performance tuning skills.
• Strong experience with MySQL and MariaDB.
• 2+ years of experience writing C/C++ code for operating systems or databases.
• Proficiency in ETL design and development using tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Data Loader.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services.
• Experience with database design, modeling, and operations.
• Ability to use scripting languages including Python, Javascript, or basic shell scripting.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, SQS, and Security Groups.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Glue, Data Lake, and SQS.
