Description

Manage large enterprise databases handling high-volume transactional workloads across Oracle and MySQL environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Execute patching, performance tuning, and slowness diagnosis for Oracle and MySQL environments.
• Manage index creation, grant management, and permission controls to ensure security and efficiency.
• Review Liquibase migrations and implement AI-driven database solutions.
• Support application performance improvements by identifying and resolving database bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Principal Architects and Developers to support application performance improvements driven by database changes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience managing large enterprise databases.
• Strong fundamentals in Oracle and MySQL administration.
• Experience with AWS cloud database services.
• Proficiency in Liquibase for database version control.
• Ability to diagnose performance issues and optimize transactional workloads.
• Effective communication skills for working with Principal Architects and Developers.
• Ability to handle critical situations and manage complex technical ambiguity effectively.
