Description

You will own the ETL development lifecycle for the data warehouse, ensuring code meets high standards for readability, reliability, and performance. You will translate business requirements into functional DataStage jobs and manage project enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to load data into the data warehouse.
• Advise developers on efficient database designs, including tables, datatypes, stored procedures, and functions.
• Manage the development and deployment of new projects and enhancements within the ETL process.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages and implement solutions such as clustering, log shipping, mirroring, or replication.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with IBM DataStage (versions 9.1 - 11.5).
• 5+ years specializing in ETL using DataStage and creating multiple data pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience with RDBMS including SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Vertica.
• 5+ years of experience coding with SQL, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• 8+ years of experience working for US companies in the US.
• 4+ years of recent experience in major banking environments.
• Strong proficiency in writing and improving SQL Server T-SQL queries.
• Experience using Profiler traces to optimize frequently run queries.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience working within agile development practices.
