Description

You will manage and optimize IBM DB2 LUW environments, focusing on high-performance stored procedures and complex SQL development.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex DB2 SQL stored procedures using DB2 UDB 11x.
• Analyze, debug, and optimize stored procedures for performance and resource efficiency.
• Tune large database instances, managing resources and ensuring system stability.
• Design logical and physical data models, applying normalization principles.
• Script automation tasks using LINUX/UNIX Korn Shell.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience with IBM DB2 LUW (UDB 11x).
• 7+ years of DB2 SQL development with a strong focus on stored procedures.
• Deep knowledge of database performance tuning and resource management.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and relational concepts.
• Proficiency in LINUX/UNIX Korn Shell scripting.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
