Description

You will lead the SQL database infrastructure and manage large-scale database environments across multiple platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and configure MS SQL Server instances (2014–2022), including high availability and Always On setups.
• Perform performance tuning through index analysis, query refactoring, and hardware/server configuration changes.
• Manage database security, user permissions, and disaster recovery plans including backup and restore strategies.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, functions, and maintenance jobs while managing SQL OS patching.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server outages and configure monitoring tools to minimize false alarms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration and operations.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience managing database services in AWS and Azure environments.
• Strong skills in performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with SSIS and SSRS technologies.
• Advanced expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with failover clustering and high availability architectures.
• Knowledge of backup software such as Cohesity or Veritas NetBackup.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Delphix and HVR.
