Description

Lead the research, design, and evaluation of mechanical products and systems to meet specific performance requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex 3D assemblies and product designs using solid modeling software.
• Perform design calculations and finite element simulations to analyze system feasibility and performance.
• Create manufacturing documentation, including drawings, models, assemblies, and dimensional drawings using GD&T.
• Coordinate with sales teams and customers to align product development with design specifications.
• Specify system components and direct product modifications to ensure conformance with engineering standards.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, specifically SolidWorks.
• Thorough knowledge of FEA as it pertains to non-linear solid mechanics.
• Experience with GD&T and creating dimensional drawings.
• Expertise in design of experiments, applied statistics, and systematic problem-solving.
• Experience working within a regulated industry and QMS environment.
• Understanding of design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).
• Knowledge of aerospace and fastener industry manufacturing processes and standards.

Preferred Skills

• Green-Belt certification in problem-solving techniques.
