You will lead design readiness efforts for mechanical and electromechanical subsystems within a surgical robotic system.
Responsibilities
- Develop assembly build processes and in-line testing strategies for complex electromechanical sub-assemblies and software elements.
- Define requirements and specifications for build and in-line test fixtures, supporting their development and characterization.
- Generate DMR documentation including build process flow diagrams, assembly instructions, test protocols, failure analyses, and system documentation.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause investigations of electromechanical subsystems using established methodologies.
- Create and maintain structured BOMs for individual subsystems and the overall system.
- Analyze designs for DFx, focusing on reliability, testability, and manufacturability.
- Support fixture and process validation, DHF creation, and documentation release to the quality system.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in design readiness or electromechanical systems.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting electromechanical subsystems.
- Experience developing assembly build processes and in-line testing strategies.
- Ability to create and manage testing protocols, verification plans, and test reports.
- Proficiency in creating DMR documentation and managing structured BOMs.
- Knowledge of DFx principles, specifically for reliability and manufacturability.
- Experience supporting fixture development and process validation.
- Background in root cause investigation and failure analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate-level education.
