Description

You will design, develop, and manage the full lifecycle of APIs and web services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOAP-based web services.
• Manage the complete API lifecycle from planning and design through testing and deployment.
• Implement security protocols including OAuth, OpenID, and API key management.
• Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to integrate APIs with various applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM EAI tools, specifically IBM API Connect and IBM MQ.
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services.
• Practical knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience implementing API security standards such as OAuth and OpenID.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency using Git for version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
