Description

You will design, develop, and implement solutions for legacy systems within a shared services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development activities for small teams of developers.
  • Develop detailed system requirement specifications and technical design documents.
  • Code applications, databases, and interface programs while performing peer reviews and unit testing.
  • Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes.
  • Troubleshoot and update code to address defects and system enhancements.
  • Manage development hand-offs to vendor organizations to ensure quality and consistency.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Tandem and COBOL development experience.
  • Proficiency in Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, and Netbatch.
  • Strong ability to analyze and understand existing processes and legacy code.
  • Experience with the ETL process and at least one scripting language.
  • Ability to write and code logical and physical database descriptions.
  • Experience modifying and testing complex SQL and large-scale databases.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Mainframe background.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Snaplogic, or Postgres.
