You will design, develop, and implement solutions for legacy systems within a shared services environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate development activities for small teams of developers.
- Develop detailed system requirement specifications and technical design documents.
- Code applications, databases, and interface programs while performing peer reviews and unit testing.
- Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes.
- Troubleshoot and update code to address defects and system enhancements.
- Manage development hand-offs to vendor organizations to ensure quality and consistency.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of Tandem and COBOL development experience.
- Proficiency in Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, and Netbatch.
- Strong ability to analyze and understand existing processes and legacy code.
- Experience with the ETL process and at least one scripting language.
- Ability to write and code logical and physical database descriptions.
- Experience modifying and testing complex SQL and large-scale databases.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Mainframe background.
- Experience with Snowflake, Snaplogic, or Postgres.
