Good to Have Skills: Knowledge of WiFi/BT/5G standards, experience with Real Time Operating System development, software development tools such as debuggers and source code control systems like GitHub, profilers, AI integration in development tasks, data-driven optimization approaches, and understanding of hardware trends and innovations in wireless technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand concepts of WLAN VIFs, DMA and firmware-host communication for wireless systems development.
• Design and develop Wired/Wireless LAN and 5G features specifically on the host side with deep understanding of complete WLAN host stack.
• Apply deep understanding and hands-on experience in OS concepts including synchronization, threads, user-kernel separation, and scheduler mechanisms.
• Use AI effectively in all aspects of design, development, test, documentation and debugging tasks for enhanced productivity.
• Work with AMD's architecture specialists to improve future products and collaborate on innovative solutions.
• Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts and improve system performance.
• Stay informed of wireless software and hardware trends and innovations in the industry.
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies for next-generation wireless products.
• Participate in design and development of new features and provide support for existing features.
• Debug and fix existing issues while researching alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish tasks.
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Experience Required: 5 to 12+ years of relevant industry experience in strong object-oriented programming background, preferably C/C++. Assembly language programming abilities on different CPU cores is a definite plus. Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs, Linux and/or Real Time Operating System development, and software development processes and tools.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
