Description

You will manage and scale a data processing platform infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and monitor scalable infrastructure on Kubernetes and AWS to ensure 24/7 availability.
• Own CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Artifactory.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application access using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Partner with agile teams on root cause analysis, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems.
• Ensure proactive alerting, monitoring, and failure recovery for distributed systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Extensive experience with AWS services including S3, EC2, IAM, CloudFormation, Route 53, VPC, and Load Balancers.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
• Experience managing user access and security via LDAP, AD, OIDC, or Kerberos.
• Practical experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and pub/sub communication models.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Kustomize, or Ansible.
• Background in optimizing AWS storage classes, instance classes, and throughput for cost-efficiency.
