Description

Manage and scale infrastructure for data processing platforms using Kubernetes and AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and monitor scalable Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS.
• Own CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and Docker.
• Ensure 24/7 system availability through proactive alerting, monitoring, and failure recovery.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Perform SRE activities including root cause analysis, error budget setting, and performance tuning for Kafka, Spark, Presto, and Airflow.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development.
• Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
• Deep AWS expertise including S3, EC2, IAM, CloudFormation, and Route 53.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker containerization.
• Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with secure AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, and Load Balancers.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and pub/sub communication models.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Kustomize.
• Experience managing hybrid clouds or AWS Direct Connect.
