Description

Manage production operations and reliability engineering for a large-scale Hadoop environment supporting over 100 tenant applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own incident management, observability, monitoring, and root cause analysis to proactively identify performance issues.
• Bridge L1, L2, and L3 support levels to ensure successful production operations for the Strategic Data Platform.
• Automate repetitive DevOps tasks using Shell and Python scripting.
• Onboard new applications onto existing CI/CD pipelines using Celestial, Tower, and XLR.
• Design, document, and implement Linux-based infrastructure components and solutions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience.
• Strong hands-on understanding of Hadoop architecture, including HDFS, YARN, and MapReduce.
• Experience with cluster management tools such as Ambari, Cloudera Manager, or Pepper Data.
• 5+ years of experience in Ansible automation and DevOps engineering.
• 2+ years of experience using CI/CD pipelines to deliver Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python programming for automation.
• Deep knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Git source control and Artifactory.
• Expertise in CI/CD toolchains and automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with product release cycles and release management.
• Previous experience working in the financial services industry.
