Description

You will own the electrical and FPGA design and development of prototype and production units through the full lifecycle from concept to manufacturing release.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed electrical design including analog, digital, and FPGA design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Perform design validation and testing, including highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and environmental qualification testing (DO-160G).
• Produce and maintain technical documentation such as HALT summaries, test procedures, and qualification test reports.
• Lead electrical design for specific projects to ensure compliance with customer and functional requirements.
• Implement engineering design changes to improve manufacturability and robustness in coordination with sustaining engineering.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of electrical and FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency with OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Designer.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and associated toolsets.
• Experience with microprocessor and/or DSP-based designs.
• Experience with network and Ethernet design.
• Hands-on experience with hardware diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to apply functional specifications, datasheets, and hardware manuals to electrical designs.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with embedded software design using C or assembly.
• Experience with RTCA DO-160G.
