Description

Perform high-level and low-level verification and validation of embedded avionics software in compliance with DO-178B/C standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities and debug defects in integration and system testing.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot test rigs, including EICAS and SDS simulators.
• Validate subsystem communication using ARINC 429 and CAN protocols to ensure accurate data exchange.
• Document test procedures, results, and defect reports in JIRA, maintaining full traceability.
• Develop Perl scripts for automation and support tool qualification activities.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in embedded systems with a strong focus on V&V / IV&V.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming at the read, write, and debug levels.
• Mandatory experience with DO-178B/C standards.
• Understanding of real-time embedded systems and low-level firmware.
• Experience with aerospace or avionics systems, preferably safety-critical.
• Working knowledge of ARINC 429 and CAN protocols.
• Experience with tools such as BusTools, CANalyzer, or EICAS/CMS Simulators.
• Proficiency in Perl scripting for automation and tooling support.
• Familiarity with debugging tools like ZAPCross Debugger or Cosmic compiler.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with smoke detection systems or similar avionics subsystems.
• Exposure to tool qualification processes in regulated environments.
