Description

You will manage and support MSSQL and various RDBMS platforms within a 24x7 production environment. You will own the stability, performance, and migration of database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Execute database installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, and optimization tasks.
• Configure and troubleshoot HA/DR technologies including Always-On, Failover Cluster, Log Shipping, and Replication.
• Migrate databases from on-premises environments to Azure PaaS/IaaS with an emphasis on data privacy and security.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for database performance issues and support 24x7 production operations.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and night shift rotations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator specializing in MSSQL.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS platforms including MySQL, Sybase, or Postgres.
• Experience managing cloud databases across Azure, AWS, or GCP (SQL and Oracle) in PaaS/IaaS models.
• Proficiency in configuring HA/DR solutions specifically within Azure.
• Strong knowledge of DB server architecture and cloud computing trends.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Required certification in MSSQL, Azure, or MySQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and Ansible automation.
• ITIL or Scrum certification.
