Description

You will own the testing and validation of ETL processes across data pipelines.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans and strategies for applications utilizing ETL components.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for source-to-target data validation and data warehouse testing.
• Implement orchestration for business flows to automate complex testing scenarios.
• Conduct and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Review technical requirements, translating data warehouse and BI terminology into actionable test cases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in ETL testing.
• Expertise in writing test automation scripts using Python and Bash Scripts.
• Proficiency with orchestration tools, specifically Apache Airflow and Luigi.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including advanced querying for joins, aggregation, and type 2 triggers.
• Hands-on experience with traditional SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, SQL Server) and cloud warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, or Talend.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices using Jenkins, GitLab, or Maven.
• Experience using agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile) and test management tools (Jira/HP ALM).
• Ability to interpret data models and ER diagrams.
