Description

You will maintain, debug, and enhance firmware for resource-constrained embedded systems, with a focus on cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Update existing firmware to include cybersecurity enhancements such as encryption, SOUP updates, and cyber event logging.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across firmware, hardware, wireless, power, and manufacturing interactions.
• Contribute to firmware design, implementation, integration, and release support in a regulated environment.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests, and resolve static code analysis warnings.
• Produce firmware documentation and development artifacts for FDA-regulated product processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
• Proficiency in C programming with disciplined, readable coding habits.
• Experience debugging in embedded environments using IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle in regulated environments (FDA preferred).
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Teams).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ownership of deliverables.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MISRA or other strict coding standards.
