Lead the design and development of modern, high-performance web experiences using React and the broader front-end ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, user-facing web applications using React and TypeScript, owning front-end architecture and delivery.
• Partner with Product and UX to translate designs into polished, accessible experiences while influencing requirements.
• Establish front-end standards for component architecture, state management, routing, and testing practices.
• Drive performance optimization including Core Web Vitals, bundle splitting, and runtime observability.
• Implement advanced UI capabilities such as rich data visualization, real-time updates, and secure client-side patterns.

Required Skills

• 9+ years professional software engineering experience with significant depth in front-end web development.
• Expert-level React proficiency including hooks, composition, context, and rendering behavior.
• Strong TypeScript skills with generics, strictness strategies, and types-as-design.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for implementation and debugging.
• Strong CSS skills including responsive design, architecture (Modules/CSS-in-JS), and theming at scale.
• Advanced testing practices using Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• API integration expertise with GraphQL and REST, including schema-driven development and error handling.
• Performance engineering skills including profiling, SSR/CSR trade-offs, and caching strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SSR/meta frameworks like Next.js or Remix and SEO considerations.
• Familiarity with design systems (Storybook), micro-frontend patterns, or visualization libraries (D3, Canvas).
• Proven track record of modernizing legacy front ends and improving developer experience.
