Description

Lead front-end architecture and delivery of complex, user-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the front-end architecture, component standards, and delivery approach for complex web applications.
• Partner with UX and Product to translate designs into accessible, high-performance user experiences.
• Drive performance optimization including Core Web Vitals, bundle splitting, caching, and runtime observability.
• Implement secure client-side patterns, including safe auth flows, token handling, and vulnerability protection.
• Collaborate with backend teams on API contracts (GraphQL/REST) and advocate for efficient data-fetching patterns.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep front-end expertise.
• Expert-level React proficiency, including hooks, component composition, context, and concurrency patterns.
• Strong TypeScript skills, focusing on strict typing, generics, and types-as-design.
• Proficiency with modern build tools: Vite, Webpack, Babel, SWC, and package managers (npm/pnpm/yarn).
• Advanced CSS skills for scalable styling, theming, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong testing practices using Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, and E2E tools like Playwright or Cypress.
• API integration expertise with GraphQL and REST, including schema-driven development and client state management.
• Accessibility expertise, including WCAG/ARIA standards, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader testing.
• Mandatory proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for implementation and debugging.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SSR frameworks such as Next.js or Remix and SEO considerations.
• Familiarity with design systems (Storybook), micro-frontends, or rich data visualization libraries.
