Description

You build and release reliable software systems at scale for the Core Payments Backend team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy user stories and epics to production with a focus on security, reliability, and operations.
• Remediate issues using engineering principles and design proactive solutions for potential failures.
• Guide team members and direct the work of Senior Associate Application Engineers, facilitating their growth.
• Oversee design decisions and steer the team toward achieving product goals.
• Influence peers and achieve team commitments through informal leadership and strong communication.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency with Java and Spring.
• Experience with Hibernate.
• Working knowledge of Linux environments.
• Familiarity with containerization using OpenShift and VMware.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins and Github Actions.
• Scripting and configuration management using Chef and Ansible.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming technology.
