Description

You will lead the development and optimization of API-driven software applications and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with external systems, payment gateways, and third-party services.
• Design and develop Kafka-based event-driven architectures using Java to support real-time data processing.
• Implement Kafka producers and consumers, including custom serializers and deserializers for JSON data.
• Design, optimize, and maintain databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Integrate Kafka with API Gateway services to secure communication between microservices and external clients.
• Ensure security compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS to protect sensitive data.
• Document design decisions, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and the photon Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, including performance tuning for high throughput and low latency.
• Deep understanding of JSON data formats and message handling.
• Experience with API Gateway services and microservices integration.
• Knowledge of implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kafka clusters.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues across Kafka, Java, and API Gateway components.
• Experience with payment gateway integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with PayEdge or GP2 software applications.
