Description

Lead development of API-driven applications and event-driven architectures using Java.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs for payment gateway and third-party integrations. Design Kafka-based event-driven architectures for real-time data processing. Develop Kafka producers and consumers with custom JSON serializers. Integrate Kafka with API Gateway services to secure microservice communication. Ensure PCI DSS compliance and document technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and the Photon Framework.
• Design and implement Kafka-based event-driven architectures for real-time data processing.
• Develop Kafka producers and consumers with custom serializers and deserializers for JSON data.
• Integrate Kafka with API Gateway services to secure microservice and external client communication.
• Ensure security compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS and document technical specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and the Photon Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, including performance tuning for high throughput and low latency.
• Deep understanding of JSON data formats and message handling.
• Experience with API Gateway services and microservices integration.
• Knowledge of implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kafka clusters.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across Kafka, Java, and API Gateway components.
• Experience with payment gateway integrations.

Preferred Skills

• Direct experience with PayEdge or GP2 software applications.
