Description

You will architect, design, and implement modern web applications using modular single-page interfaces and secure RESTful API micro-services.

Responsibilities

• Architect and code modular single-page application user interfaces and secure RESTful API micro-services.
• Investigate and repair application defects across the front-end, business logic, middleware, and database layers.
• Provide technical direction and mentor team members on Node.js and React technologies.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and manage data modeling within PostgreSQL environments.
• Collaborate within Agile Scrum and Kanban frameworks to manage dependencies and resolve merge conflicts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in modern software development, designing, building, and deploying applications.
• Extensive experience with Node.js and React.js.
• Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks including Redux, MobX, Flux, and TypeScript.
• Strong background in developing RESTful Web Services using Express.js.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Bootstrap and modern CSS/HTML.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside within two hours of Woodlawn, MD, and work on-site at least 2 days a week.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, and SonarQube.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jest, or Enzyme.
• Familiarity with XML, XSLT, and JSON standards.
