Description

Leads end-to-end delivery of full stack solutions using React, Java Spring Boot, GraphQL/REST, and AWS, from design through production support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design reviews, defining service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns.
• Develop secure, production-grade code and enforce engineering standards through thorough code reviews.
• Build highly available and scalable services with strong operational excellence, including reliability, performance, and cost awareness.
• Implement and govern authentication/authorization using OIDC/OAuth2, token validation, and service-to-service security patterns.
• Evaluate vendor and internal solutions for architectural fit, security, scalability, and operability.

Required Skills

• 16+ years applied full stack engineering experience delivering and operating production systems.
• React expertise: modern patterns, TypeScript, state management, component design systems, and performance optimization.
• Java Spring Boot expertise: building APIs, dependency injection, validation, error handling, and performance tuning.
• GraphQL proficiency: schema design, resolvers, federation patterns, query performance (N+1 mitigation, caching), and API governance.
• REST proficiency: OpenAPI-style contract design, pagination, idempotency, and backward compatibility.
• AWS experience: designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native applications; IAM, networking, and operational tooling.
• Data layer expertise: AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (advanced SQL, indexing, migrations) and AWS Neptune (Gremlin, graph modeling).
• Event-driven systems: AWS Kafka (MSK) topics/partitions, consumer groups, schema evolution, and operational monitoring.
• AI-assisted engineering: demonstrated proficiency using Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot for development, debugging, and refactoring.

Preferred Skills

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK) and containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS).
• Advanced security practices: threat modeling, OWASP Top 10 mitigation, and secrets management.
