Description

Design and maintain scalable, cloud-native data and API-driven applications on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of 2–3+ full software engagements, from requirements to production support.
• Build and optimize batch, streaming, and near–real-time data pipelines using Dataflow (Apache Beam) and Pub/Sub.
• Develop backend services and microservices using Java, Python, and SQL for data transformation and automation.
• Ensure data quality through validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and exception-handling strategies.
• Validate RESTful APIs and analytics layers (Looker Studio, Tableau) for schema integrity and correctness.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering and application development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java.
• Advanced experience with Apache Beam and Dataflow for pipeline orchestration.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Cloud Storage (GCS), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with object-oriented design, performance tuning, and error handling.
• Understanding of data warehouse ecosystems and cross-domain data relationships.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to graph databases for modeling highly connected datasets.
• Knowledge of Looker Studio and Tableau for analytics validation.
