Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable data and API-driven applications on Google Cloud Platform, owning end-to-end delivery from architecture to production support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize batch, streaming, and near-real-time data pipelines using Dataflow (Apache Beam), Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.
• Develop backend services and microservices in Java, ensuring object-oriented design, performance tuning, and robust error handling.
• Implement data quality, validation, and reconciliation strategies to ensure reliability and schema evolution across large-scale datasets.
• Validate RESTful API integrity, payload correctness, and performance SLAs, while supporting analytics visualization in Looker Studio and Tableau.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and DevOps teams to enforce security, IAM, and cost optimization best practices within Agile/Scrum models.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience designing cloud-native data and API applications.
• Advanced proficiency in Java for Dataflow pipelines, API development, and microservices.
• Strong command of SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of GCP services: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow.
• Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
• Proven track record owning full software engagements, from requirements to deployment.
• Experience validating analytics layers using Looker Studio or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of graph databases for modeling connected datasets is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with graph databases and their application in highly connected datasets.
• Exposure to data quality engineering frameworks and exception-handling strategies.
