Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend components for scalable eCommerce and merchandising applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications using cloud platform technologies and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers to iterate on product design and ship features.
• Monitor system performance, rectify usability issues, and address traffic drops.
• Review application code and plan future API upgrades with the development team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Significant Go programming skills and knowledge of data structures.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture and development.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging architectures using Kafka or equivalent.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and deep understanding of REST principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
