Description

You will design, implement, and operate virtualized infrastructure and cloud environments, ensuring reliability and security across hybrid systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage virtualized infrastructure using VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE, and OpenStack for Linux and Windows workloads.
• Deploy, upgrade, and operate Kubernetes clusters (on-prem and managed services like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE), including worker lifecycle and CNI management.
• Configure and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, Active Directory/LDAP, and IAM/AAA (RBAC, SSO, MFA).
• Support and administer public cloud environments on Azure, AWS, and GCP, focusing on compute, networking, storage, IAM, and cost awareness.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents across compute, network, and storage layers; drive root-cause analysis and remediation while adhering to ITIL practices.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (switches, routers, firewalls) including VLANs, routing, VPNs, and ACLs.
• Proficiency in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and at least one of Proxmox VE or OpenStack.
• Solid administration experience in Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server, including installation, configuration, and hardening.
• Working knowledge of Azure and AWS (VMs/EC2, VPC/VNet, security groups/NSG, IAM, storage); familiarity with GCP/GKE is highly desirable.
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters on-prem and in the cloud, including basic observability and backup concepts.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, load balancing, and firewall concepts.
• Practical experience with storage fundamentals (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, RAID levels, snapshots, replication).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and hands-on use of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to create clear, accurate, and supportable network and infrastructure diagrams using Visio or draw.io.
• Experience implementing OS and infrastructure security controls, including hardening, patching, and endpoint security.
