Description

Design and oversee the architecture of clinical integrations and interoperability systems in Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Lab interfaces with major clinical organizations and medical device interfaces.
• Manage hospital integrations including data transformations, master data mapping, filtering, and alerting.
• Maintain vendor integrations within established HIEs and oversee clinical imaging interfaces.
• Monitor integration server performance and capacity against growth requirements.
• Lead small projects and oversee the architecture and quality of deliverables from clinical engineering teams.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years developing integrations across disparate systems.
• Minimum 2 years working directly with clinical systems.
• Proficiency in integration coding languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, and CURL.
• Deep understanding of interoperability standards: FHIR, CCD-A, HL7, and JSON.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and working with Kafka.
• Proficiency with computer networking protocols: VPNs, HTTPS, SFTP, TCP, and MLLP.
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems (NextGen, Athena, EPIC, Cerner, or eCW).
• Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (Visio).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET, SQL, and Java.
• Experience with clinical imaging systems and devices (Fuji, GE, Ambra, Philips, Welch Allyn).
