Description

You will lead IT projects to deliver solutions for IRS stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with project charters, contracts, and federal standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables within regulatory frameworks.
• Execute project planning, tracking, change control, and risk management with a focus on security and privacy.
• Oversee project resources and subcontractors to ensure compliance with data handling and performance standards.
• Develop and implement communication plans that comply with federal guidelines on information sharing.
• Provide daily direction to project teams to ensure alignment with federal project management standards.

Required Skills

• Proven experience managing IT projects, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to manage and coordinate diverse project teams.
• Experience working within stringent regulatory or public sector environments.
• Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card) for at least three years.
• Must be Federal Tax compliant.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, information technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Active Moderate Risk MBI clearance.
• PMP certification.
• Familiarity with Akamai Technologies, ReactJS, JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, or OpenAPI/Swagger.
