Description

Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of the Java-based OUF Online Claiming application while driving the replacement of legacy platforms. You will own the technical design, mentoring, and delivery of complex solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide final application architecture and design, documenting detailed technical specifications.
  • Oversee, mentor, and provide technical solutions for internal staff and consultant teams.
  • Code, test, and deploy solutions following Java standards and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement system test plans to satisfy acceptance requirements and test scenarios.
  • Analyze and debug complex application issues, including integrations with fraud detection services.

Required Skills

  • 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Java web applications.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing project requirements and designing Java web applications.
  • Strong expertise in Java and core framework concepts.
  • Experience conducting extensive integration testing with external systems.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Albany, NY.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Apache Wicket framework and Hibernate ORM.
  • Experience implementing LexisNexis Risk Solutions (Device Assessment, Consumer Instant ID, and Instant Authenticate).
  • Experience developing web services and connecting Java applications to IBM DB2 databases.
