Description

Design, code, and maintain instrument interfaces that automate communication between laboratory hardware and software systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate instrument interfacing specifications using vendor documentation and coordinate with subject matter experts.
• Design, code, and unit test interfaces within existing object-oriented frameworks.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements feasibility reviews.
• Review existing modules to ensure stability and optimal performance.
• Own delivered interfaces as the subject matter expert for support and change evaluation.

Required Skills

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Java software engineering (Backend).
• Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with Hibernate for object-relational mapping.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON, and RESTful Web Services.
• Demonstrated proficiency in object-oriented design and multi-tier architectures.
• Ability to read complex technical specifications and write design documentation.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
